Naim Stageline using Hi-Cap DR already powering the NAC282

Hi,

I read some of the comments about this topic but I am just not convinced if I understand correctly.

I have a NAC282 with Hi-Cap DR. I want to know if I purchase a Stageline MM or MC, which needs its own power supply, can I use my actual Hi-Cap DR to also power the Stageline AND the NAC282? My Hi-Cap DR is the last iteration before Naim discontinued it. There are several different plugs behind the Hi-Cap, which leads me to believe that it can serve more than one purpose at the same time.

Am I correct in thinking that my Hi-Cap could provide for my Stageline AND stay connected to my NAC282?

You must use the powered Aux 2 socket on the back of the 282 to connect the Stageline. Everything else remains exactly as- is. You cannot connect the Stageline directly to the Hicap, which can only power one thing at a time, in this case your 282.
