Naim uniti 1 functions

Hi all, have just started using a uniti 1, updated etc, couple of things i need clarification on.

  1. I have a hard disk connected to my router, when i select upnp the tracks on the disk are listed, i can scroll through etc but can’t play them, any suggestions?

  2. This is more simple (if you know) the balance control doesn’t read L/R but rather +/- the handset doesn’t really help either as it adjust up/down. Anyone know which is left or right?

You need a half decent UPnP server running on your network. One that’s bundled with your router may not be ideal for audio use.
What format are the music files?

Mostly mp3 and some flac
