Hello,i have purchased a naim atom on ebay,problem is when plugging it in using naim supplied 3 pin plug,it will not connect properly causing the unit to contantly cut out or not power up at all,when switching to a generic 3 pin plug it fits perfectly and works perfectly,this seems weird,should i return the unit or is this a common problem,regards
The first thing I would do is check the Naim supplied lead for faults.
Does it work with other devices that use the same type of IEC connection?
Assuming you are using a standard UK lead, aka Powerline Lite, open the plug and check the fuse and connections.
Possibly you haven’t pushed the lead in far enough, give it a good shove to make sure good contact is made.
