Naim uniti Nova and volume dial with cats

It looks like we have a cat in the house. I remember few years ago checking Nova app settings and seeing that there was an option to disable the volume dial function from the main unit. I even remember reading a post where a fellow cat owner said it was a life changer because their cat was often sleeping on a warm unit and there was allways lingering fear to get volume cranked accidently trough the roof by the cat. Now i cannot find such function exist? Was i dreaming, or have Naim taken that feature out? Anyone remembers if that was a thing or have i just understood something wrong in the first place? Is volume dial disableing possible via software settings?

I think you were dreaming. The original mu-so Qb had a cleaning function, which disabled the controls, but the Unitis have never had such a thing.

Would a low tech solution of putting something like a thin book on top of the dial work?

This same issue has been raised only a month or so ago. Search will bring it up.
The op had suggested that as it was a new unit and was otherwise fully functioning they would reject the unit, this despite it having been used. The op unwilling to consider any solution.
A comment I posted, suggesting that this somewhat contravened the moral maze, was met with a derogatory response.

Based on the thread below, which appeared a while ago, I suggested that if an acrylic cover manufacturer could make a cover such as an inverted ‘U’ - open side or ends, likely best to sides, then that might offer a workable solution.
I ordered a cover for my rcm and been delighted with it. The machine only came, despite the cost, with a cloth cover. Worth considering perhaps; ymmv.
