Naim Uniti Nova - External DAC?

Hi, a very basic question…

Can I connect an external DAC to my Uniti Nova? I can’t see a digital out in the back of the Nova and hence wondering if this is an option.

Well… you CAN plug an external dac into the analogue inputs. I’ve tried it both with a DacMagic and a Mojo - just to see. (The Nova’s internal DAC is best - by quite a margin.) What you CAN’T do is use the Nova as both source and amplifier bypassing it’s internal DAC.

Which would mean those signals would be digitized again and afterwards go through the Nova’s DAC anyway.
