Naim Uniti Star.... 4 ohms?

I am currently listening to Naim Uniti, specification …
two options 50W per channel into 8 ohms and 90W per channel into 4 ohms.
Decided to buy a new Naim Uniti Star, but it only one… 70W per channel into 8 ohms.
Is it possible to connect 4 ohm speakers to each chanel? (Naim Uniti Star)

Short answer: yes, you can.

Long answer: The nominal impedance of your speaker does not matter, as it is not a fixed value and just gives you an idea about its design and how difficult or easy to drive the speaker potentially can be.

I can confirm that there are no issues with using Atom / Star / Nova on four ohms speaker loads … all units are also tested at two ohms and even down as far as one ohm (but that is to check that they self protect correctly).

Using the units with a four ohm load will cause them to run hotter but again they will self-protect if they get overly hot but again the units are designed to handle a four ohm load.
