Why not use the headphone amp of your Naim integrated? Would make connections easier? Alternatively, you might get more help from posting in the headphones thread.
The AV input is just like a regular Tape input with both a (play) IN and a (rec) OUT, so you could use it for connecting a headphone amp. However, the AV input also has the option of applying Unity Gain, which is useful for integrating an AV processor or amp with the existing 2 channel system. If connecting anything such as a recorder to an AV input it’s imperative to ensure that Unity Gain on that input is not enabled.
I already run a headphone amp with AV out via a DIN with just out connections soldered.
The input of my present amp is 47Kohm, whilst the one I propose to buy is 20kohm. I presume the proposed amp is still compatible, as I do not understand how the input impedance effects the compatibility.

Streamer Cocktail Audio N25
My present headphone amp is a Lehman Audio Drachenfels with input impedance 47kohms
I am interested in the SPL Pronitor SE with input impedance 20Kohms
I am trying to discover the compatibility with the Naim AV with an output 130mV/600ohm and how the numbers relate.
The Pronitor SE is interesting because of its cross feed function, which should make those albums with extreme stereo effects, on many older recordings, where an instrument sounds if it is playing in just one ear more listenable. It is said to simulate speaker listening to a certain degree.
The other alternative is to connect the Pronitor DAC to my computer + USB drive, which seems to be very popular way of doing things, with headphone listening. All the reviews I read used the amp this way.
I wrote to SPL support, and they were quick with a reply.
a support agent has just replied to your support ticket #24632.
Hello,
you can use the Phonitor SE with any standard line level output. If you have been using the Lehmann on your cable up to now, all you need to do is swap the amp. The inputs and outputs on the Lehmann are electrically standardized in the same way as our I/O. Please note that you may connect line levels to your Phonitor SE in any case - speaker outputs must not be connected.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Best regards
I will add that the instructions that come with Audio gear are often vague, for those of us who are not electronics literate.
So it seems I can connect this device to my Naim amp without anything blowing up.
Although not exactly on topic for the OP I am facing a similar dilemma with my ND5 XS 2 - Nait 1 set up.
So asking for advice here instead of starting a new topic.
Given the fact that the neither the Nait 1 and the ND5 XS 2 have a headphone output I currently have a Fiio BTA30 Pro connected to a digital output on the ND5 XS 2 which I use as BT transmitter to my B&W Px8. Very convenient when walking around and SQ wise better than expected. But not the best solution when it comes to SQ.
So I am looking for an additional solution for wired headphones to get more out of it.
Total budget is around 750 euros for a pair of headphones and a headphone amp.
I got a suggestion from someone who records music himself. He said that the Lake People G103-S MKII could be the choice for the amp and then together with Sennheiser HD660S2 headphones would be a great solution for my budget.
Now I found that there is also the Lake People G103-P MKII. They differ in the connection. The S uses RCA input amd the P uses XLR. The XLR version costs 50 euros more.
Can anyone tell if the XLR version would make a real difference with the ND5 XS 2 given the fact that the analog output on this is either RCA or DIN?
