Good morning all
As the title suggests I recently purchased a Nd5 xs2 streamer and was working all fine, however last few days when I select a different source within the streamer .IE radio or qbuz it then switches to cd input on my xs3 meaning I have to get up and switch back to streamer in the amp..the remote sometimes works to change input but it was never doing this before ..any ideas on what the issue could be? Kind regards
I think if you go to the Naim App and go to settings / system settings / system automation and then down to ‘Pre Amp Streamer Input’ it’s probably set to CD input. While in there make sure the pre amp type is correct.
Yes, that is the answer. The preamp input must be set to whichever the streamer is actually connected it.

Why do you have system automation enabled? I also have Nait XS3 and ND5XS2, but I do n’t see why you would need system automation to be enabled at all.
That must have been an error when I was playing about with it but it’s all sorted now
The main advantage with an ND5XS2 is to be able to control volume and mute from the Naim app. For owners of streamers with remotes, it also lets you control volume from the streamer remote, rather than needing to use the amp’s remote. You can switch the amplifier’s inputs too, which really comes in handy if you have sources other than the streamer.
I did not know that. Is that what the ‘IR Out’ connector is for on the ND5XS2?
