Hi guys,

Just a quick question about the sub-outs on the XS2; my REL only has one RCA input, and I use a single RCA sub cable. If using the sub-out, which out should I use, L or R? Or pick up a 2 RCA To 1 RCA cable?

I have 3 options of connecting the sub; high level, Node sub-out, or XS2 sub-out, just want to try them all to see which I prefer.

Are you using the node in variable volume / preamp mode connected to the XS2 av bypass input? Just wondering how else you would control the volume of the sub connected to the node sub-out.

Yes, at the moment. I have a set volume on the XS2, and control the volume via the Node remote, including the sub. The same set up I was using with the 5si

If you use only the left or right you’ll only get the bass from that channel.

You can get away with running the sub from either L or R channel as bass is not very ‘directional’ so the level will be similar through either channel. Better still with a Rel sub, use the high level connection.
