Many thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. The SN 3 is indeed going very well here. As it happens, my local dealer has offered me a pre-owned Hicap which is tempting. This would power the SN but I am wondering if I would still need the Flatcap XS for the Stageline. Am I right that the SN3 can also power the Stageline directly via the Aux?

Yes. My Supernait 2 Aux 2 powered my Stageline. Adding a HiCap Dr was a nice move for me.

Many thanks LML. My dealer has agreed to my testing the Hi-Cap with my system next week. As the FlatCap will no longer be needed for the Stageline I am thinking of using it with my Headline instead of the Napsc. I am aware I would need a SLIC for that.

I second this… Yesterday I demoed a 2nd hand ND5 XS with an XS3 at a dealer’s and was amazed at the quality of it. Speakers were uninteresting.
I have a SN but am seriously considering moving to a less ponderous, less monochromatic XS, of either generation. My perfected FC2 would match it visually better too.

But the OP has chosen, so best with his music!
