Nap 250dr and Dynaudio confidence 20 vs Proac k1

Hi all.
I have a 282/250 with harbeth shl 5plusxd. Thinking of the confidence 20 as possible match with the
Naim combo instead of the Harbeth. Only 2 ft behind the loudspeakers to the wall. Also will consider
The Proac K1. Haven’t started demoing yet but hope to soon. Just thinking about possible matches with
My naim gear. Living room is 20x19 but very little flexibility in positioning. Also need to play at moderate
Levels without a lot of strong bass transmission to adjoining apartments and those above and below mine.

You need more power for C20 , 250 is adequate though . Any Dyanudio confidence series monitor has the sound of a floor stander .

The K Series ribbon tweeter is dreamy. It will demand the best source and you will be rewarded.

Good point.
There are some listings I’ve seen coming up for the Nap 300dr. Maybe
that would fit the bill better than a switch in speakers for adding some extra authority, verve and clarity to the Harbeths when the music I listen to, mostly classical, gets a little thick and forceful.
Otherwise I pretty much like them.

I have as a source the chord Dave and m scaler

It might, but from your description, I suspect you have room acoustic challenges at play as well. You may want to try some attractive diffusers and absorbers on your walls including behind the speakers.
The DAVE is rich in micro transient energy across the audio spectrum… and room reflections can cause horrible comb filtering effects robbing that naturalness. This will be noticed more when you turn the wick up.

I’ve got a large flat screen tv between the speakers. It sits on a console and is about 4 inches from the wall behind the speakers and about a 18in behind the speakers themselves. To start out some time ago, the TV had been closer In to the front of the speakers. I noticed an improvement by moving It back as far as I could to the wall. Not much more that can
be done to ameliorate this. Thanks for the suggestion though to put panels
on the wall behind the speakers.
