Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated. I was a little worried heheh can’t wait to get the power supply then I can hook it all up. I’m going from a 15 year old non serviced nap200! I imagine that I may have a slight uplift in SQ even from cold with no hours :sunglasses:

Where’s the 300PS ?
Also, did you use the 200 to power your preamp if so you will need a power supply

As a recent new owner of a 300DR, you need to make sure you use the correct Burndys and XLRs for each channel. They are marked/colour coded to indicate which is for each channel. If you put them in the wrong way around you will get no sound and panic you have a dud unit!

There was a postage error and the two boxes are being delivered on different days. I’ve got a hicap already on my nac282

If you don’t notice any different going from a 200 to 300DR, you need to find another hobby! :grinning:

Haha indeed! I’m imagining a massive change straight away and more as the play hours build up.

My nap300dr all received today and connected up even brand new zero hours and cold it’s a phenomenal upgrade.massivr soundstage, depth, separation and bass.really really nice. Very very musical. And this will just get even better with the play hours too! Chuffed!

From memory, the biggest change I noticed from new was, there has always been talk about how the 300DR was superior to my previous 250DR at low levels as its much fuller sounding. From new, I didn’t notice much difference between the two, it wasn’t till a few weeks later I went for my second listen & the difference in low levels were very apparent.

Much fuller sounding is a really good description. I experienced the same :+1:
