I was hoping to use my Narcom 5 to operate my Superuniti and CD5i but it doesn’t appear to work on the CD player. I have a Narcom 4 with a broken battery cover, but I would love to just use the single remote, Cheers
Does the Narcom 5 need to be set on ‘CD’ to operate the CD? Apologies if the question is too stupid.

It isn’t stupid, but I have tried this several times. Hitting CD just changes the input, and the transport buttons have no effect on the CD5i. Cheers
I suspect that your ‘Narcom 5’ isn’t a Narcom 5, but a Uniti remote, in which case I don’t recall it being able to operate a CDP. The track skip buttons move to the next streamed track.

Yes, I made the assumption it was the Narcom 5, incorrectly, and they are quite different when viewed side by side. Just need to try and fix the old Narcom 4.
Anyone know where to get a replacement battery cover? I only have the metal bit!
Getting a battery cover may well be more difficult than a new Narcom 4. Just stick the battery in and use a bit of gaffer tape as a battery cover. After all your not going to be sitting there looking at the remote backside facing upwards are you.

Yes, I have some black Gorilla tape, it does the job, not a great looker, but as you say, it ain’t no ornament!
