ND5 xs

Hello everyone!
I just acquired a nd5 xs that work great over Wi-Fi, but I get nothing when hard wired form my netgear power 2000, everything look good but when I play a song it gives me a “can not find server” message when trying Spotify…
any suggestions? I had a Lumin mini hardwired before without any issues.

Thank you.

Have you tried a factory reset?

Also what firmware is the ND5 XS on currently?

I have tried a factory reset, no luck.
I believe it’s in 4.7 firmware, don’t even know wheee to start to update it

Those Powerline extenders are not really recommended and can cause issues, IIRC.

You could try an update. See the IRadio pinned post (sorry in my phone and can’t copy and paste the link easily right now)

Thanks Robert

Thanks everyone, I believe the issue is with the powerline. I’ll try and update firmware later today.

Still no luck, every time I use Ethernet it gives me a “can not find server” it doesn’t matter if it’s Spotify or Tidal. But WiFi work fine. I want to do the update, but just haven’t had time.

Have you tried a different cable?

I have not. I’m using a network acoustic ENO filter.
I’ll try that.

It is the filter… I used a cable straight from the power line to the back of the Naim and worked perfectly, but skin is subpar in comparison with the filter, any ideas?

Sorry I’m lost here. Power line is a mains cable. Skin?

My mistake, typo that was “sound “

I would avoid using ethernet over mains devices - they are very noisy and can lower overall performance. Try a wireless bridge if you can’t go fully wired.
