If Naim ever produced a standalone digital transport I doubt it would be any cheaper than an ND5XS2, and I doubt it would sound any different. Unless they decide to release another separate DAC, I can’t imagine they would release a DAC-less tansport either.

the Innuos streamer should be out in September, right?
I’d have to discount all but the Sonnet on the basis they offer USB output only and we’re using an nDAC which we want to feed via SPDIF coax. I’d discount the Hermes as we don’t use ROON.
When we decided to buy and service an nDAC we did this fully in the knowledge it would mean we couldn’t use streamers which are USB only. However, given that we’d always have the fallback of an ND5XS2 (or NDX2!) that wasn’t a big concern.
The Lumin and new Innuous offerings (basic/middle spec) have SPDIF.
