Can someone confirm that unless using an external PSU that the Burndy link plug has to be fitted?
I’m assuming it does make ‘connections’ which route the internal PSU when connected and is simply not a blanking/dust cover type device.

Yes it makes connections inside the plug, so it has to be fitted.

Thought so - decided to demo one again - no link plug in the box 
Wish I’d opened the box earlier instead of doing a bit of spring cleaning in the listening area (much needed anyway), store is now naturally closed for a few days…
