NDX disconnecting

Hi, I have a ND5 XS and an NDX on my network.

They both have wired connections to my router.

But the NDX keeps losing its connection / I can’t use the app and I have to reboot it. It would continue to stream radio once connected, but I can’t connect using the app.

Any ideas please?

Top of my list would be:
I would start with an unplug NDX from the wall for 5 mins
Then if you still have issues power off the router for 5 mins

Have you swapped ND5 and NDX connections to determime is you have a cable connection problem.

Next I suspect a possible router error / corrupt link.
First clear the control point (tablet or s.phone) cache - force it off & restart
Then turn everything off, including router & wait at least 5 mins to be sure the ISP logs your’re off line.
Start router only and let it finish its restart sequence
Start NDX
Start control point … and test for the problem

If OK, then restart the ND5

Which connection is it losing - the wired connection or the BT/WiFi to your app?

The NDX is same era as the NDS, my NDS suffered the same until I uploaded and use the latest Naim app. Also ensure the firmware of the NDX is 4.8. (Before you start using the latest app switch off your router and have it reboot)

My NDX-FM drops offline occasionally. The only fix I have found is power it off then back on.

My 172 and Qute2 almost never do this.

It is possible the switch the NDX uses has an issue, but I have moved the NDX to a different location and switch with the same results.

Because the NDX is at the heart of my system, it is more susceptible to conflicting commands coming from different iPhone users.
