Ndx2 connection problem

I have been streaming quobus without any problems via wifi until recently.

I open the focal Naim app but it can’t find the NDX. Muso is still showing! I can chromecast to NDX without problems. All software is most recent, I’ve switched router & NDX off a couple of times but the problem still persist. Any ideas please?

Can you connect to anything via the front screen on the streamer?

Yes the radio works!

No iRadio here also. I did the shut and restart the router to no avail. I was wondering if other user had the same problem

The problem may be related to your phone. Are you able to restart your phone?

Also are you able to connect via a different phone/tablet?

I’ve tried turning off my phone and have no other means of connecting to it.

Can you connect using Quobus Connect, which mean you use the Quobus app to select your music, then from the app connect to the NDX2 via Quobus connect

Yes I can do this, the only thing I can’t do is connect directly to NDX from the app which was always my preferred way to

Sound like it’s an app issue on your phone. Have tried to reset the app under the settings option in the app?


I have tried that too! Muso there but no NDX

I assume you did click on that gear icon on the top right to reset app. Assuming you did then personally my next move would be to uninstall the Naim app, restart your phone, then reinstall. If that fails then I think its time to call Naim

BTW, Naim have released an app update for the iPhone - could your issue be related to an update?

It’s odd that the MuSo does show because if that’s a complete screenshot your iPhone doesn’t seem to be connected to your WiFi network, only to your mobile service (the “fan” icon is missing)?

I wondered who would notice that! I opened the app at work knowing it would be where I left it last night. Well spotted though.

Oh well, I tried! I suppose the only other avenue is to ask what’s your router model?

Standard BT one, it’s worked no problem for 9 months.

Running out of ideas here but if it’s a Home Hub it can show you its connected devices which might at least narrow down the issue.

Do you connect your phone direct to the BT router wi-fi, or via any booster/mesh/AP?

Is the Naim app (still) allowed access to your network in the phone security settings? Someone recently found it was disabled after an app update.

Yes phone is connected directly to router.

No restrictions on the app security

NDX 2 factory reset?

It will lose any presets you’ve added, but straightforward to set everything up again.
