I need to know if anyone has replaced a Chord T-Sarum network cable to Chord Music And felt a fundamental difference
No one checked first.
Hi Meni, yes, I did that. The Sarum T was, and is, an excellent cable but Music was better still. The Sarum T is now between my Innuos Zenith and PhoenixNet.
Did you really hear any big differences? is it worth to switch?
For me, the differences were very big in that it gave me better access to the performance and a closer connection to the music. So yes, it was absolutely worth it and I was fortunate enough to be in a position to be able to buy it.
A while after getting mine, I sat in on a comparison of a variety of different streaming cables, which included Music, Sarum T and Indigo, a couple of Audioquests, BJC or Catsnake (can’t remember which) and a generic CAT5. This was in a Chord Dave/552DR/500DR system. To cut it short, the differences were not subtle. Even the attending cable sceptic (Alex, if you’re around, Hi) agreed that the Music was far and away superior in every musical sense.
Obviously, if you’re in a position to try one, you absolutely should do and perhaps also the flavour of the month Shunyata’s.
Thanks…I can’t listen before, I have to buy without listening.
I understand. I obviously wouldn’t want you to be disappointed but, based upon my experience and that of others whose opinions I trust, I don’t think you would be. If you like what Sarum T does, I really can’t imagine you wouldn’t be very happy, assuming it’s affordable.
@BertBird has also the Chord Music.
I feel you would attract more members if the title was Sarum t vs Chord Music rj45, Meni.
I didn’t replace a chord cable with the chord music, but replaced the audio quest I had before. I started with the Vodka of Audioquest and then shortly had the Diamond which was too analytical in my taste. After extensive testing of multiple cables I found clearly the chord music by far the best. It is very very musical, represent very accurately the tonal qualities of instrument. A no brainer….
