New App release - Apple & Android (Revised & Updated)

Software updates: Easier ways to enjoy your favourites

Our latest App update – and a forthcoming Firmware update – includes some new features designed to make it quicker and easier to find and manage your favourite music and playlists from streaming services, current generation Naim music servers (including Uniti Core, Star and Nova), plus radio stations, and then enjoy them on your system.

NEW! Favourites Browser – available to all now in iOS App 5.17; Android App 2.17

Find your favourites fast via a new dedicated source in the Naim app: the Favourites ‘Star’ icon now sits alongside all your other sources (eg Spotify, TIDAL, Bluetooth).

Selecting the Favourites icon takes you to a list of all your favourites, by category (favourite artists, albums, playlists etc). The first 8 items in each category are shown first; select ‘More’ to see the full list. You can then further sort and filter your favourites – for example, sorting by Date Added, or filter by TIDAL.

This makes your Favourites list far easier to view and organise – ideal if you have a lot of Favourite albums and playlists saved in your choice of music-streaming service.

This functionality is available to every generation of Naim streaming product, including original generation Mu-so and Mu-so Qb speaker systems.

UPDATED: Home Screen Favourites - available to all now in iOS App 5.17; Android App 2.17

We have added more functionality to the Home Screen Favourites view on the lower half of the App home screen - a popular shortcut to your listening enjoyment.

The most recently added Favourites are now displayed first. For Playlists, the most recently modified are displayed first; the dedicated Playlists view also now includes all your playlists, with icons to show their source.

Improved synchronisation keeps your Favourites list up to date; on Android devices you can also manually refresh your list with a quick screen pull down on that section.

This functionality is available to every generation of Naim streaming product, including original generation Mu-so and Mu-so Qb speaker systems.

PLUS: Minor App updates - Available to all now in iOS App 5.17; Android App 2.17

In addition to the new Favourites functionality, the App update also includes these extras

· Global search has been enhanced to include content on a Uniti Core music server.

· Android users will now see their Tidal favourites included in their Home Screen Favourites (this functionality is already available to users of iOS devices.)

· Some other minor enhancements, including additional translation options.

COMING SOON: Updated Preset options – available after Firmware 3.5 update [new platform products] later in August

For users of our latest-generation Naim streaming products - Mu-so and Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation; Uniti Atom, Star and Nova; plus ND 5 XS2, NDX 2 and ND 555 - Home Screen Favourites will include a Presets section.

Unlike Favourites, which are all App-based, Presets will also be accessible via the illuminated dial of your Mu-so and Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation or the front-panel buttons of your Uniti Atom, Star or Nova streaming system, plus NDX 2 and ND 555 streaming players. (NB: As it has no front-panel display, the ND5 XS2 streaming player is 100% manageable via the App.)

The Home Screen Favourites view has a Presets tab; now you will find them in the new Favourites Browser, too. Simply drag and drop your Presets to arrange them in your desired order.

On Mu-so 2nd Generation products (running software v4.2 or higher), you can choose up to 5 Presets from your favourite Internet Radio stations or Spotify playlists. The App neatly mirrors your Mu-so’s illuminated dial to map the position of each Preset.

On Uniti Atom, Star or Nova systems, plus ND 5 XS2, NDX 2 and ND 555 players (running software version 3.5 or higher), you can create unlimited numbers of Presets from your favourite Internet Radio Stations, or Qobuz, Spotify and Tidal playlists, albums and tracks. Scroll through your Presets on the front panel of your streamer, including using your remote control handset, or see and arrange your Presets in the App.
