Vibration control is critical for us. We live next to the approach to the Brooklyn Bridge and the NYC Subway runs underneath our complex, albeit very far down. Low level vibrations are something we have to account for.

I fear it will cost more than the brands models. I have tried once here in France.
A second hand Fraimlite would be a good choice.

I@frenchrooster New or used depending if the OP needs dealer setup and even then the dealer might have a used one. I don’t know if a Fraim light is available in Denmark.

Using Mark’s dimensions, I reckon

4 x 400mm of 50 x 50mm mild steel angle £12

3000mm x 600mm x 26mm composite timber or bamboo boards £200 to £250

24 x 8mm x 50mm screws

Set of Jantzen spikes, includes inserts and floor protectors about £20

Can of matte black paint about £10.

If you dont wish to try yourself, if you are in the UK, look for a local branch of Men in Sheds, they quite often have retired, skilled engineers, probably happy to gave a project.

A search online will easily give you the information you need. The Fraim brochure gives you exact dimensions for the base and shelf, as does the Isoblue website for their products.
It’s hard to amswer your question without knowing whether you mean a base plus 2 shelves (for 3 boxes) or something else, and does your 40cm limit include the box sitting on the top shelf, or just the height of the shelves?
Either way, Isoblue is about as low as you’ll get, and a bit lower than Fraim Lite. Whether or not it’s available in your location I wouldn’t know. Contact Isoblue and they’ll be able to tell you.

The OP is in Denmark.

So sorry, only trying to help, I guess there may be a Danish equivalent of Men in Sheds?

Yes, we have something called Handyhand, but I think it’s a bit complicated.

Thanks for all the good advice so far. What I need space for is Naim NSC 222, Naim Nap 250 and Zen MK2. So 3 shelves in total and preferably not more than 400 mm, then I have room for an amplifier on top

The following brands are apparently available in Denmark:

Naim Fraim Lite - No store has it, but it can be ordered
Norstone
Solidsteel
Blok Stax
Atacama

Is the height of that rack 550mm and that’s without your amplifier. I don’t think it looks that high and I can only use 400mm at most, so it might be a problem if I choose this

Go with Solid Steel

I can thoroughly recommend Isoblue for all the same reasons as the Halibut.

Of course, you can find an outlet in the UK that will ship your choice to you fairly easily these days, but you’ll probably need to pay an import charge, but I’d be inclined to bite that bullet for such excellent kit.

I’m currently expecting the imminent arrival of a made to measure cabinet for my system from Lagom Studio. UK based but ship globally. Customer service was excellent and the unit has been designed to my exact specification. Their reviews are stellar.

At the moment I am leaning towards the Naim Fraim Lite and Isoblue. I got a price from a carpenter and I think it is too expensive.

There is also several nice racks made by ADK (Asahi Wood Industries). No MDF. All solid wood shelves.

i have isoblue -love the simplicity and low height - for me fraim is too blingy - draws too much attention . but i am considering putting isolation (stack audio) under the boxes and i am not sure they will fit without adding the isoblue extenders

I just have a question regarding Fraim Lite. Should I also buy Naim chips if I don’t want to damage my wooden floor?

Another Isoblue user here. One advantage for me is that the shelves can be pulled out a bit to give easy access to the rear of individual components. Particularly useful if the rack is fairly close to a wall.

I am also a long-time Isoblue fan. I have used it for about 30 years and it meets my needs very well. It’s easy to assemble and sliding the levels back and forth allows ready access to cables, etc behind the rack. It’s also relatively compact and, in my view, it looks good too.
