Hello everyone, I’m coming back to Naim after several years with different amplifiers.
In purely audio quality terms, how do the Supernait 2, Supernait 3, and Nova compare?
In terms of features, I’d say the SN3 has an MM phono stage (which is probably unnecessary for me since I have a Benz cartridge/phono), the Nova has the streamer (though I already have a Lumin D1), while the SN is “barebones” on both fronts.
It also seems that the Nova has no upgrade options (e.g., power supply, etc.).
However, for now, I just need to understand the comparison in terms of sound quality (in terms of pricing, it seems that on the used market, the SN3 and the Nova are more or less equivalent, while you can find an SN2+HiCap at a slightly lower price…).
For now, it would be connected to a pair of Tablette Ten Signature (plus a subwoofer), but in the near future, I’d like to switch to small floorstanding speakers that can be placed close to the back wall. Any ideas? I mostly listen to jazz, blues, and classic rock.
Thank you!
The supernaits are better. The 2 plus hicap is all you need.
