Lazy buggers!
Western European Time should be what applies to Naim… Five hours to go…
Greenwich Mean Time, surely?
Man I got to stay up all night.
What if they dont release any news until the end if the day rather than the start?
Well we will see.
It’s the 4th here. What’s happening?
Im Westen nichts Neues.
C’mon you lot, you know these things are done on Mothership time. The announcement will arrive precisely when it’s meant to. A bit like Gandalf!!
We count on Salisbury watchers…
If the smoke is white, habeas NAC 272 replacement!
So how do you assess that any individual is not immune to marketing due to being on this forum? There are people here who have not bought any Naim products for years, possibly not since joining the forum, while others have reduced or even ceased their Naim ownership…
We may be benedicted.
More commonly in my limited observation, the website goes read-only around or a bit before midnight, and is up again in good time for breakfast with new gear on it, while email notifications at some point are sent to the mailing list, though that seems to have been supplanted by the info opening this thread.
I look forward to the insane number of new posts on this thread when I wake up. Though they may not actually make the announcement till a human waking hour in the U.K. if tomorrow is the day.
So You Gotta Hang On 'Til Tomorrow, Come What May
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love You, Tomorrow
You’re Always A Day Away
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Love You, Tomorrow
You’re Always A Day Away
See you all tomorrow, goodnight
My guess would be lunch time or soon after…
In the world of social media, the two busiest times of the day are lunch time (12noon to 2pm) and tea time (4pm to 6pm), or evening commute.
There is a reason national news broadcasts are 1pm and 6pm.
Edit : that’s UK local time.
I wouldn’t do that Lucifer, get some sleep, if I were you, but it’s fair to say you all haven’t got long to wait.
All good things come to those who wait the saying goes.
It’s very true this time.

If we have to wait until 5th January, nothing will change, the earth will still turn and we’ll (hopefully) all still be breathing.
I remember the change from the traditional early 80s Naim to Olive and thinking it looked “wrong” and not Naim. I got used to Olive and still own many components.
Then the tryptic style came and I have a few of those components.
It doesn’t bother me that they don’t totally match each other and I feel sure that a “new” style will come along and it won’t suit everyone but, Naim have always moved on, albeit slowly, with style changes.
A 272 replacement will be interesting but it’s not on my radar having an NDX2 and 252 which covers whatever a 272 replacement may offer. Or maybe…
