Another month clocks by and the new internet radio service is all running smoothly and requests to add / modify stations is at a trickle now. We will now be focusing on switching over the older products, so Muso/Qb1 and the hifi products with green screens (nac272, supernait, uniti2, ndx, nds etc.).
Jazz Groove Radio
In November Jazz Groove ( https://jazzgroove.org/ ) gave all Naim and Focal customers access to their premium FLAC lossless streams for a month. A huge thanks to them for providing this. The FLAC streams will be going but we’re aiming that some higher quality 256kbit MP3 atreams will stay, so better quality than their website / other directories, but gives good reason to become a member with jazzgroove and get access to the FLAC steams again.
2XS Radio, UK
2XS ( https://2xsradio.com/ ) are a long term internet radio station specialising in rock ranging from 60’s to today. They have very kindly created a nice 500kbit OGG/Vorbis atudio stream for Naim and Focal customer for the month of December. The normal stream is 64kbit AAC. You’ll find 2XS in prime position on the home screen of the internet radio service. As ever, if you like what you hear and want to help them keep the tracks playing, member donations can be made on their website.
System improvements

‘Added Stations’ feature to allow users to add their own stations in the case the station is not listed / not suitable for a public radio directory.

HLS radio streams are now scanned and analysed format wise by the backend system so the bit rate of the stream that plays on Naim/Focal products is cached in the database.

Minor text changes made here and there through the menu structure. Thanks to all for their 2cents worth on getting it right.
Stream improvements / major new stuff
NPO, Netherlands - national broadcaster. now on 320kbit HLS/AAC streams. Good step up in quality compared to their aging mp3 variants.
Rock FM, Germany - full network added.
Océane FM, France - full network added (it was partial before).
American Family Radio - they restructured their network and the directory has been suitably adjusted to be in sync with these changes.
KISS FM, France - full network added (it was partial before)
Otherwise:
- 164 New stations added
- 2113 Existing Stations modified to keep things running smoothly.
- 48008 Active stations in the directory.
