Have investigated it more and on the actual product it doesn’t play. It seems to come down to that they have injected a 5 sec audio clip at the start of the stream (says the station name) but its got corruption in it. Some players skip over the corruption so the stream appears to play (and when we scan it record it as good) while our product player rejects it as.a non valid stream.
At this precise moment in time there is not much we can do about this at Naim, but will try to write to the station to see if they can fix it.
I’ve also raised a Jira ticket on our side to see if we can make it more tolerant to data corruption.
Can you try again. I wrote to the station earlier and having tried about 10mins ago, the stream is now working on product. Have checked VLC and its now giving clean stats as well.
I left this running yesterday using latest code + in parallel playing it in VLC on Windows 11.
For the first 4 hours, no dropouts, but at around 7:30 France time the odd dropout started to occur on Naim and VLC. About 10:00 it then worked fine till around 15:00 and then dropouts started again.
I’ve got a feeling either the server used by the station has a loading issue, or there is a bandwidth issue out of the data centre which maxes out at various times of the day.
Looking back at this one I noticed that I had written to the station a few months ago, but they never replied. Overall it seems the station has issues with their backend systems. With 6 second buffering the servers should be able to deliver data in time before that buffer runs out.
Let me know if you notice any trends of times of day when it drops out.
Have also noticed that now and then the track changes are very poor, like someone at the stations gets bored of what’s playing and puts something on halfway through a track!
Thanks for looking into this problem drop outs occur more in the mid morning and late afternoon periods.
Since changing from vtuner to the in house system the station does tend to load quicker very occasionally I have to reload the station as it does not come back after the drop out.
System is hard wired and I have been playing Radio Paradise for a couple of days without any problems at all.
Steve I have 2 Muso’ s , 2 qb and a qute when do these get internet radio back? Would really like to know:) this must affect a few thousand Naim customers?
vtuner seems to be down on the legacy devices here my qb first generation. Have tested both bbc, Danish dr stations and folk alley non of them streams anything.
My Unitilite doesn’t seem to connect to internet radio anymore. Running the latest firmware. I can stream via other network sources. It just reads “no source” after spending a while looking to download the radio station list when I click on the Internet Radio icon in the Naim app.
Hi - After updating my Internet provider and resetting both my Qb and Mu-So I cannot access any radio stations now. And having the same problem as everyone else. Is there going to be a solution as it is very annoying
Are you able to make a temporary connection to your devices via another radio source? Bluetooth or direct connection from another device or computer is one such temporary solution.
Yes, I can use the individual radio apps and Airplay, plus I can multiroom from my main system.
Although it is a work around, it’s not as convenient nor should I have to do this really.
I am longing for reliable iRadio on the earlier streaming platforms.

Yes can play via other sources but my husband is a dinosaur and not good with streaming so just wanted to switch on and the radio play. Not ideal, so hopefully service is resumed and all back up and running as normal soon.

After a couple of hours of uncertainty about what to do, everything is working well with NDX2 , using the “internet radio” input selector on cell interface.
All the precedent preset should be re-set.
One of my preferrerd radio seems not yet available, “Ultra Dark”.
Moreover, in Italy there is a radio “Duran Radio” (DD and easy listening from 80-90’s) never available on my streamer, but ok on Tunein.
Is it possible to add both?
