Hi @Stuhssn
Sure can. Pow!
Enjoy.
Best regards

Hi @naitman
We don’t control the actual streams, but we’ll set a unit playing the stream and check the throughput stats. Most likely they have a server issue - probably a reboot from their side will do the trick.

Thank you so much ! Excellent service
Hi Steve,
Can you add The Platform to the News & Current Affairs section for New Zealand please?
Many thanks
Kind regards

Dear Steve,
I’m very happy with the new Naim Internet Radio. Just 1 problem: I listen often to NPO Klassiek. Every 1 or 2 houres the music stops and looses connection. I have to restore the connection myself. I have tried restarting etc already, but no difference.
On the screen I get this strange image (see picture). Do you know what’s the problem and how to solve it?
Greetings from Holland,
Frank2
Good morning everyone.
Over the last year or so, I have been listening to Americana Boogie Radio using the link in the iRadio link, on a Unitiqute2 station list, in the NAIM app.
But over the last few weeks the link is not working. The streamer displays connecting and then sometimes you hear a short (2 or 3 seconds) worth of music then it goes silent (how ever long I leave it)
The odd thing is, that if then I try to listen to a another iRadio station after trying to connect to Americanan Boogie Radio, then it takes a long time to reconnect and has to reinitialise the conection, so it seems that the stream from Ameicana Boogie radio is causing an issue with the streamer.
I am still able to listen to the station via the web (firefox browser)
Is this an issue with my streamer or is an issue with the stream from the Americanan Boogie Radio?
Hi @Rick57
Based on the product you are using that is still based on VTuner and yes there has been issues with that station, independent of VTuner.
Here is an uptime log from our new system:
(that is scanned using many instances of VLC playing 100’s of stations at once, so an independent playback solution).
The MP3 stream that they are broadcasting has had issues.
We’ve recently switched to the AAC variant but it seems they keep on stopping broadcast now and then.
Overall, there is a reliability issue with this station, but the MP3 variant that VTuner use is extra problematic.
I’ll write to the station flagging up their technical woes.

Hi @Frank2
As that is a national broadcaster stream I would expect that to be quite stable.
From checks here on the diagnostic page, it looks pretty sensible buffering wise - about 20secs of audio is in the streamer.
Typically best way to break these problems down:
If it’s affecting multiple stations then chances are it’s a local networking issue. The starting point is reboot wifi routers and other network equipment between the internet connection incoming to the building and the streamer.
I’ll leave a unit running on this stream and accumulate stats over the next 48hrs.

The same applies to me as well as NPO 1. This channel looses connection sometimes after 10 minutes and other times after e.g. 50 minutes. So no way to predict it.
Many thanks Steve - top class service and worth the search for me.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for checking the station and letting me know the issue.
Cheers Rick
