Does anyone know anywhere I might find a hicap dr for sale in the uk?

There are none for sale in the usual pre-loved sites. Maybe ring around dealers and ask if they have one.

They do yes, but it is 13 years old so is certainly in re-cap/service territory. That has to be added onto the £990 asking price.

Unless it’s been done in Salisbury / Sheffield; which the op can consider if purchasing.

It is very expensive, yes. About 2 to 3 years ago i bought 2 DR’s, one was a 2020 and the other was a 2021. The 2020 cost me £980 and the 2021 cost me £1100. £990 for a 2012 is well out of kilter and if it actually has not been serviced should be avoided.

Thanks, I might wait and see what else pops up. They are few and far between at the moment for some reason.

A remember seeing a pre-loved HCDR with "2nd hand hifi’ recently. (Now sold).
But, FYI, serial number for 2014, priced at £699.

Also seen a few around the £900 mark, mostly recent ones, from 2021-22-23.
( Note : EOL in 2023 )

I agree, I paid a little under £700 for a Hicap DR a couple of years ago from a Naim dealer (in the UK) it had been serviced a year or two before purchase, confirmed from Naim’s records.

At the time this was reasonable dealer price a little more expensive than eBay offerings but of course one gets a 3 month warranty from the dealer.

Prices in general do seem to have gone up a bit since and fewer on the market.

Anything above £750. Some serviced, boxed Olives too apparently.
