New problem with reception radio station

When I purchased my Naim Mu-So devices, the radio stations were easy to access. For three or four years, some stations have no longer been accessible. On a few occasions, faced with my repeated requests for support from Naim or directly to VTuner, only Stevesky intervened and two later the station was accessible again. Currently, I am sending the same request again and again since the problem presents itself again and despite the Naim representative telling me that he will forward my request to VTuner.

This is beyond me because I have another streamer with another manufacturer and the technical support offers support and listening to the problems that customers encounter. Why this difficulty in having an equivalent service at Naim?

This doesn’t work via vTuner. It does play using RadioNet aggregator. Suggest you contact the station and explain there’s no service for vTuner.

That’s the problem! It works great with VTuner, less than a month ago. This is exactly what I don’t understand: why VTuner stops broadcasting these radio stations?

The problem is that radio stations can and will change their streaming URLs.

Not a big issue, an automated tool could verify the URLs vTuner publishes very easily.

However, vTuner don’t seem to have any mechanism to work out if one of their published feeds is outdated. Comes across as a very amateur and broken service.

Hopefully naim will introduce a more robust internet radio service soon.

Thank you, this is a very enlightening explanation. However, during the big outage last winter. Many were talking about a paid service…? I hope not.

The current stream appears to be

@Stevesky Can you assist.

PS You have to understand that Vtuner provides the radio service and they are crap.
They are not proactive and do not respond or do anything if you try to help them.
Stevesky is the only one who can get action from them.

There were ‘hints’ some time ago that moves were afoot to ‘solve" the vTuner issue… since, the silence has been deafening. Has there been any progress on this? Depending on one single individual to’ fix’ issues is not very practical

There is only one way to solve the vTuner issue.

For what it’s worth: on the vTuner pages, you can configure your own stations based on URLs and your Naim streamer MAC addresses. I use this for 2-4 stations.

(It’s cumbersome and does not scale well, espy if you have multiple devices.)

I’d have to lookup the URL at home.

I think it’s this one:
https://naim.vtuner.com/

In the Naim app for the muso qb the instructions on how to discover the mac address are useless. There’s no right arrow or help in the radio menu :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. No way to find the magic number!

The sooner they dump vtuner, the better. Thank goodness I use the Lyrion system (LMS)
