New Rega ND9 MM cartridge

It’s because of the motor location being to close to the spindle.

On the Rega website now there’s news that there’s a ‘new turntable’ in the wings. Should be at the Bristol 2026 show.

I guess they will release the new phono stage there too replacing Rega Aria.

Exiting indeed, should we guess the new TT, higher or lower range ?

The Rega website states: ‘more details will be revealed nearer the time’ … so, the suspense is bilding

Even a Dynavector 10x5 HO is a disappointment.

Yes could be.

I’m submitting P12 as a guess! There’s enough of a gap between P10 and Naia.

It might still be too early, but has anyone been able to compare the ND9 to an Ania Pro?

Has the Nd9 reached the shops ?

I did read a comment from a guy prefer his Nd7 to his entire collection of MC cartridges more than double value/each. I believe these new Nd cartridges seem to be a smashing success. Well done Rega.

I was really impressed with the ND7 when I heard it - if I’d been told it was a £1k MC, I would have happily believed it. On that showing the ND9 is a must to audition.

Rega will no longer sell MC ! :squinting_face_with_tongue:

I very much enjoy my ND7 and that with just the built in phono in my Nait 50. I assume there is much more hidden in it which I could have enjoyed if not my new Cyrus arrived broken..

Hope the 9 is better than the Exact

Rega would have had to work real hard to make it worse.
