Indeed it does, it’s a fantastic live recording, from what was effectively the late autumn of his career but there is no hint of this in the blistering performances.

I may well have to buy that. It will remind me of sneaking out of my school boarding house in Edinburgh as a teenager to see Rory Gallagher, fresh out of Taste, at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall.

Has anyone got the vinyl and is it worth the £40 premium over the CD?
Amazingly good sound. I wonder if there is anyone here who was at that (or those?) performance(s) who remembers the reality.
I’m particularly taken with the harmonica playing of Mark Feltham.
The download cost less than $1 per track, a bargain indeed.
I was luckily to see Rory a couple of times in the 70’s and also to see Mark Feltham in 9 Below Zero when they were top of their game.
To see Rory and Mark together on stage must have been something.

My copy of this CD just arrived and it is STUNNING!
I was fortunate to see him once, in 1980 at Derby Assembly Rooms and I’m currently being reminded of how damned good he was.
I’m currently being transported being back to seeing him live.

I was listening to ‘On The Boards’ earlier this evening. One of my favourite records ever. That lad could indeed play his geetar!

On The Boards by Taste is a favourite light a candle in the dark track its fabulous .Rory’s guitar work and the whole atmosphere and lyrics and his sax solo is pretty great as well. Love that song.
Going to get a copy of the new live album.
