New Snaic old Hicap

I have just bought a pre loved Black Snaic 5 to connect to an old Hicap and a NAC82. The connection on the 82 is fine but as the Hicap is quite old the newer Snaic will only push fit. Is this ok ?

I assume your Hicap has the older Deltron latching DINs? It’s fine to use a locking collar DIN plug with it, just be sure to wind the locking collar all the way back. Also be careful not to accidentally unplug the SNAIC at any time while the kit is powered up and the speakers connected.

Usually you’ll get a very nasty high pitched screech followed by the possibility of fried tweeters.
