Typically this time of year you can find last year’s products with great discounts. F. Eg. LG usually announces a new OLED line during the summer.
This year hasn’t been typical though.

Also went from Panasonic plasma to LG Oled four years ago. Picture quality excellent, no issues with it so far and webos operating system is well rated in relation to other brands.

Thx Chaps.

We just went with a not-quite top-of-the-line LCD Sony Bravia 4K 75". It seems very good. A noticeable improvement in off-axis picture quality compared to the quite decent Sharp it replaced.

Hooked up a 4K Apple TV. It’s quite something that we can stream 4K video in real time. Who would’a thunk-it?

At the same price point an OLED would have been smaller. We wanted the scale for the size of room. Everything is a trade-off.

Yes, there is a lot to be said for screen real estate.

If we’d been looking at smaller sizes, the OLED would have been hard to pass up. But the’y’re quite expensive at 75". The screen size is about the minimum for our room in terms of making the most of the high-resolution 4K content.
