I’ve just checked we don’t have huge mountains but the hill just up road is higher than Englands highest. :rofl::rofl:

Noel Coward , in one of his plays has a character say of the area

“Norfolk, very flat”

I go to a small racetrack at Snetterton in Norfolk and its said if you stand on a mole hill you can see the sea on a clear day. It’s 40 miles away.

Get on a bike and you’ll learn it’s not that flat! Especially up towards the north Norfolk coast!

That’s one of the gates of Amersfoort, the Netherlands. It’s the nearest city for us and summer evenings are fantastic to visit the place.

Back in my home town of Appledore (North Devon) for a week. Two lovely pubs in Irsha Street that face one another – looking west The Royal George; looking east The Beaver Inn.
