Belters, as ever, Ian. Get well soon.
Dunno why but this picture always uplifts the mood each time it appears on the Nix photo frame.
Taken last Nov while on a visit to my 2nd favourite place in the whole world.
Reminds me of something… Can’t think what.
I can’t possibly think what either … that particlar mountain, the one with the table cloth on, is flat.
Another favourite mountain view is not so flat …
Flying season around here started today with a few things chucked in the air at Duxford.
Usually struggle with this little bugger, it’s small, dark blue and The Sun is invariably unhelpfully placed. And a little prop blur at 400mph is tricky. Nailed him today though!
ah go on, give us a hint!
I had exactly the same thought and then scrolled to see your post! Uncanny how the brain works.

Devils Peak?..
Sorry no cigar.
The photo is taken from Signal Hill, the peak is Lions Head, the clouds are known locally as “the table cloth” …
…. that’s all the clues you should need.
I think you are in Cape Town.
I always thought that they look just how a passenger plane should look.
I don’t know whether this counts as a nice photo, but I was rather taken with this stone found on the beach on Friday
on a nice quiet walk on the coast.

OK OK ….. Devils Peak is just one point on the mountain, so only half a cigar. I was looking for Lion Head (no ‘S’) and Table Mountain.
