Thanks.

Jaime, are you using filters or is it all done in post?

(Love ‘em, BTW)

No filters, lifting water shadows in post for light symmetry.

Great set of pictures, sometimes everything falls into place and everywhere you look there’s pictures to be had, clearly this was one of those occasions.

Yep, like tonight…Don’t know where to look!

That’s a coincidence, I walked past that very spot for the first time just a couple of weeks ago.

The Cobbler, also known as Ben Arthur, is a magnificent Corbett in the Arrochar Alps and is widely considered to be the most difficult to summit. It isn’t particularly technical, though does have an awkward move as you pass through a hole in the rocks (the so called, ‘eye of the needle’) to emerge onto a ledge, but it is very exposed with substantial drops - it is this aspect that deters many from reaching the true summit. I was combining it with another nearby Corbett, so approached it from the NW but its finest aspect is certainly seen from the SE.

The eye of the needle

And subsequent rising, narrowing, off camber, ledge

At the end of the ledge, there is a jumble of rocks to climb up to achieve the summit pinnacle. There are good holds for hands and feet, but again, it’s very exposed, especially on descent.

The following Corbett was disappointingly ordinary afterwards!

Cheers,

Ian

Terminal 5?

Yes

Ive spent too many hours there over the past 2 years. The biggest disappointment though is returning to LHR. Yes, T5 is better but T4 and T3 are a right s@#£hole. LHR is without doubt the 2nd worst airport i travelled to/from. Dhaka being the worst.
