Nick Cave. Desert Island Discs

Cave was on DID this last weekend. An honest, articulate and fascinating conversation. Even if you don’t like his music I would suggest it is worth a listen.

It is on BBC Sounds now.

He was interviewed on The Louis Theroux Podcast in July 2023.
A very good episode if you enjoyed DID.

His interview/conversation with Justin Welby (former Archbishop of Canterbury) is also interesting. Radio 4 Sept 23. Still available by the looks of it.

Very interesting. I love the Karen Dalton track. One of my favourites also.

A very interesting and thought-provoking episode of Desert Island Discs, with an eclectic mix of interesting music. Well worth a listen on BBC Sounds.

I listened to this morning, it was an enjoyable listen, fascinating to hear him talk so much about himself. I enjoyed most of the songs he chose, much more than I usually do. I didn’t know about the Morning Dew controversy due to Tim Rose’s duplicity so an interesting and educational Desert Island Discs.

Yes the music selection was certainly interesting and varied. Although I listen to DID quite regularly, the choices of some castaways tend to lack variety and interest to me. Nevertheless the insights into the life of the castaway are almost always fascinating.
