No audio from Analogue Input 1 (or 2)

Greetings again–

Connected my 4k player to my nova via RCA interconnects, Front speakers out, to Nova analogue input 1, but there is no sound.

Thoughts?

Are those inputs enabled by default ? Might be worth looking at them via the app to check the settings.

All inputs are enabled by default … what player are you trying to connect?

Does the player have a digital output that you can use?

Usually you need to connect a Line out from any piece of audio equipment to a Line in on an amplifier. Speaker outputs of course are variable, controlled by the volume controller on the 4K device. I’m not sure that a speaker out - line in will work. Try gradually increasing the volume on the 4K box to see if anything comes through into the Nova. Start from zero on the volume out from the 4K device !!!

If your 4K device has a pair of analogue phono/RCA lines out, connect them to the Nova. That should work.

thanks all.

i have a top of the line panasonic 4k player, per Oppp’s recommendation went they stopped making them.

i bought new Transparent interconnects, so can’t believe that is the problem. but will try my older audi quest interconnects to make sure.

Got it sorted out–many thanks.

What did you do ?

being any idiot. had plugged the interconnects into the left and right outputs for the front speakers of a multi-channel amp, instead of the left and right outputs for a 2 channel amp.

ugh.
