I bet the holes are different as it not as long, but it should cover still.
Its funny as its all been in the garage for about a week, very cold, but sounded great even cold, maybe a week away from it is the best upgrade lol
The holes on the new smaller Rega shelf are closer together than those on the standard one.

Surely it couldn’t have been too difficult for Rega to manufacture the new shelf so that it could use the same mounting position as the old style shelf making it a straight forward and easy upgrade but hey ho.
@Dunc I guess you will be buying some Easifill after all. 
I can drill new holes in the frame or wall , whichever is easier no problem
