I have always appreciated the Qobuz genre filter in the Naim app. I wonder why this filter is not available for Tidal. It makes it much harder to find new albums in certain genres.
Why not using the Tidal app via Connect and get all great features Tidal offers?
Good point. I just like to use the Naim app. The only thing I miss is the genre filter.
More than likely it’s not included in the api that Tidal make available to Naim, in which case there’s probably nothing they can do about it. No harm in asking Naim support for a feature request.
It is available in Lindemann app so Naim could implement it as well.
I do not really see what is missing from the Naim app. This seems quite a lot similar compared to the above
@osprey has shown what you’re likely after: the Tidal Genres page is pretty cool.
One “tricky” aspect of the Naim app UI is that you get to the Tidal control section by selecting the Tidal input logo (the T diamonds) and then you must select the same Tidal logo again to see other options (Home, Genres, Moods, TIDAL Rising, My Collection, Open TIDAL App). The logo you need is up at the top, to the right of your device name.
Good news is that it remembers your last option screen, so once you pick Genres, you never need to see the Home page in the Naim app again.
It might not be obvious that tapping the Tidal logo from the Tidal screen on the Naim app does anything… but it does!
Thanks a lot for your replies. I wasn’t aware that I could click on the Tidal logo.
