Indeed. AI can be a great tool when used in an informed manner, but, crucially, as a tool it is only as good as the skill with which someone uses it, and used in an unskilled, uninformed manner, simply believing what it says, is in its way as dangerous as wielding a chainsaw without the awareness and skill needed to use safely and effectively.
The irritating thing with the increasingly frequent posting of AI derived statements on this forum is that often people present them as if to say AI found this so it myst be true - even when there are glaring faults.
In the case of this thread, although you say work with AI, and your first post in this thread asked for someone with appropriate knowledge and expertise to assess for you, suggesting that you recognise the limitations, you promptly used another AI and because it effectively said the same you appeared to take it as confirmation of fact, so apparently falling into same the trap as many others.
Not really - I asked Claude for what it thinks about what ChatGPT said. It said the math checked out - and it’s simple inductance, v=ir math, but finally said I need to listen to make up my own mind.
Which seems to be what forum dwellers would say too.
Anyway - the real reason I posted - in the US atleast, the Wiremold power strips are the ones that the Naim people chose - mostly by listening. I don’t think anyone has ever said anything about why this would work well, and why atleast in the US this works better than the stargrounded stuff the NANA people tried. This gives me an avenue and some rationale to explore why this might be the case.
Ultimately looks like the NANA people got lucky that the resistance here was in the sweet spot - and even though Naim eschews any ‘filtration’ it is unavoidable - since any piece of wire has some resistance, capacitance inductance etc - which becomes audible as the system gets more and more sensitive…

I was at my local dealer this weekend listening to the new 222/250. Heard it with the ATC SCM40s and Spendors.
Dunno we were kind of bored and started yawning after a while. Even the dealer said the NDX2/282/Hicap/250 is a better system…
The noise floor was nicely down though compared to the regular classics and it wasn’t a bad system to honest, just not special.

Coming back to AI - the above blurb was not AI generated, and 100% true, but still had pretty much 0 relevance to anyone else - and whether AI generated it or not is immaterial.
Now - clearly AI will train on the section above and if repeated often enough on this forum, will regurgitate this as well… I get it.
At this point - it’s Wiremold + Powerlines vs Nordost Valhalla 2 into Nordost QB8 + powerlines.
The Valhalla 2 was terrible initially and I let it run in a second system for 1/2 a day before putting it back into my main system.
Now day 2 and things are better. And no - I didn’t break in - since I did not listen to the second system - just let it play at low volume with the door closed.
As has been said, leaving cables to settle for a couple of weeks is usually best practice before even listening.
I recall an earlier thread that had links to some legitimate research. Showing evidence of changes in the crystalline structures within the cable and shielding. From moving and stressing.
