Hi all, I’m having an issue with the front display intermittently turning itself on despite the command being turned off during playback.
I do know that the display does turn itself on when one goes near the unit but I’m nowhere near the screen when this is happening. Maybe it’s normal ? I’m not sure but I’d be grateful if someone could shed any light on this please?

The issue hasn’t appeared on eIther of my Novas. So a couple of thoughts.
First, I’m not sure where the sensor is, but a good and careful clean, might be appropriate.
Second, try a mains off for a short while, then restore power , checking that you don’t have a remote stuck down the sofa….yep, it has happened. Try even, taking the batteries out of any remote.
Third, bear in mind, that this could be a command, from an unrelated item connected to your network. If the code mimics any from the Naim app, without you knowing, this could occur.
Finally, if all that doesn’t help and all else has failed, try a full factory reset. You will loose presets, but it will be an early request from Naim support, if you have to go down that route.
One extra thought, is this a wired or wireless connected unit. If so, try the other.

Oh and it’s a wired connection
It’s a nuisance, both the screen and the other thing to try. That is to switch off absolutely everything connected to your network, switch off the router and then power up the Nova (only) and see if, using the remote, the issue recurs. Good luck!
Could it be due to the Remote Control Motion Detect option being on and getting jogged now and again?
Don’t think so, I’m around 3metres away from the screen but i don’t know how sensitive the sensor is to distance.
