Hi, my Nova has suddenly become unresponsive. It was working fine yesterday. Switched off last night via TV remote. Left in standby. Turned on again just now via TV remote and nothing. Power button is flashing in a 10-2-4 sequence. I’ve powered the nova off via the mains switch for now.
Do I need to do a reset when powering back up?
Concerned it might be knackered.
Cheers, Aidan
Yes this needs a hard reset.
“How to” here;
@Rumble602 there have been threads about this.
I’ve tried the factory reset process. The unit powers up with the screen showing the initial boot screen - wavy lines. After a minute or so the screen goes off. The naim logo, four buttons and volume wheel are illuminated. The volume responds to proximity. But nothing else. Nova not seen by the app. Volume wheel started pulsing. Now getting a 4-2-5 power button flashing sequence.
Tried again and got further. Home screen illuminated but no power button illumination, no volume wheel illumination. Power button flashing 10-2-4. Nova seen in the app, but unresponsive.
Tried again this morning, and after several false starts the Nova is back up and running. I think looking at WiiM and Eversolo streaming amps on the internet as a replacement option did the trick. It’s stressful when expensive electronics start glitching.
Yep, got to show these 1’s and 0’s ya mean business ![]()
