NPX300 power interconnects

Am I the only customer to question why the power cables between the NPX300 and in my case the NSC222 are like uncooperative snakes that require taming and increase the depth of shelving for the units themselves or indeed make you question why you bother.
Please would Naim do something about this such as providing cables that exit 90 degrees left or right by customer choice or a considerably more flexible. The current option is an ergonomic problem that should not exist. For some of us space is at a premium. I can say the NPX300 adds considerable clarity and energy to the NSC222 and is a worthy upgrade.

Burndy interconnects are always like that, always have been and probably always will be for as long as Naim continues to use them.

My dealer was moaning only the other day about NC burndy. The connections in particular. He needs to use tools to get them undone.

If the Burndy connections are too tight to lock/unlock without the use of tools, they need to be changed for a set that can be locked/unlocked with your fingers - Naim happily changes mine, so a dealer should have no issues whatsoever.

Don’t just grumble, get it fixed!

It’s not me grumbling, it’s my dealer. And trust me they have grumbled to naim. Oh yes. Even making suggesting of potential improvements.

These things can be improved by the rules dont allow me to say how.

My comment was indeed directed at your dealer, my own dealer obtained a new set of ‘easy-to-fit’ Burndies within a couple of days, and whilst when the NPX300 was launched there were quite a few complaints regarding overly tight Burndies, they appear to have substantially reduced since.

It was suggested to me at the time that my replacement Burndies included a ‘design change’ to remediate the issue…..

Good. Ill ask about these new burndies next time I see him. They should be seeing or feeling the difference as they did moan a lot.

Not that it helps, but I got mine in 2023!

These things are the worst cable in terms of ergonomics and usability. They are bulky, connectors get stuck when over tightening to the point you scratch your hand bloody to disconnect it, they should apparently be “massaged’ to sound proper and should not touch each other nor any wall, floor, cabinet or other cable…

How ridiculous can a cable design be…

Yes I need to swap my NPX300 between a couple of NSC222s and one of the collars needs a plumbers plier to remove it. Fortunately I have one that works a treat.
