NPX300 (to add to NSC222 or not)

It’s enough using one of these and remove the rubber band from the tool itself just using the rubber band. Then you won’t use too much force but the added grip will be enough to remove or secure it. Steve sells recommended it one time.

Around 10-15EUR on Amazon.

Just using the rubber band, how does that help?

Using John Mcenroe language “You cannot be serious” about Steve Sells recommending this

I am planning on using some gloves so that i can apply more force while protecting the fingers.

ok, i get it, the added grip could help. i will try the gloves to have the same effect.

The problem is lack of grip. Not force you can apply with your hand. You wrap the rubber band around the burndy metal part and done without excessive force.

If I had problems with the Burndy latching rings, this would be my first choice. We have a couple and they’re great for all sorts of things (stuck jar lids, etc.). Every home should have a pair.

I asked Naim support and they advise the same as you: 222-gap-250-gap-300.

Because of having the 222 power supply as far away as possible.

And from the Stereophile review…….

“The supplied electronics were laid out on the rack in a sequence that helped to maximize sound quality. At the top was the NSC 222 streamer-preamp, with a gap below. Then came the NAP 250 stereo power amplifier, another gap, and finally the NPX 300 power supply.”

Furthermore…….

“…..the inherent quality was high enough to clearly hear the advantage of Naim’s Super Lumina”
