Nsc 222

I am contemplating upgrading my older Naim system to a streaming NSC 222 pre-amp. The system consists of a:
Super Cap
NAP 250
NA CDX CD player
NAT 03 tuner
NAC 52
The tuner and CD player are presently connected to the NAC 52 via Din connectors.
How would I connect the NSC 222 to the NAP 250 and the CD player and tuner?

You will need a special legacy cable that name make to go from 222 to 250.
Tuner to din input.
Do you need CD with streamer?
If so use RCA input on 222 if necessary with adapter. Or if CD has optical out use a digi input on 222 (I think some over the later CDX2 had digital out.)
And you are good to go.

Connecting NSC222 to OC250 requires either a special cable from Naim or ordering a special cable from the likes of Chord, for the latter an rca to xlr specifically for NAP250. The details of the Naim cables were posted on the original NC threads, with a cable compatibility chart - search will direct you. The Naim cables aren’t the cheapest and only fit for the one purpose, so worth considering a trade-in against a maybe a used NC250.
Connecting NAT to NSC222 use the din cable supplied with the tuner, I do this with a NAT02. Then connect the cd player to the rca inputs. The other alternative is to swap out the din input, according to the source. Depends how often you use tuner, but iRadio is excellent and gives many more stations!
Your profile doesn’t give any indication of location, which makes answering such questions tricky. In uk there is an active second hand market. Similarly no mention of speakers!

Changing a NAC52 to a NSC222 will likely be a step down. Servicing NAC52 and possibly NAP250, depending on age of the latter, would be an option. Then add a mint second hand or even new since there are still a few around, NDX2. The overall performance would be likely greater for a smaller outlay.

Thanks
The NA CDX does have an optical output

Thanks
I am in So California.
The reason I want to swap out the NAC 52 for the NSC 222 is to be able to stream music, have Bluetooth and HDMI.

I have a 5.1 speaker layout. B&W floor speakers for main and B&W sub. Vanderstien rear speakers and a center.

There’s no HDMI input on a 222. For playing audio from a TV you would need to use Bluetooth or Toslink.

Add an hdmi to toslink converter from the big river with a naim streamer NC or OC; keep NAC52 for sound quality.

Thanks,
I am not finding any Naim NC or OC streamers. Is there a more specific model number?

He means New Classic or Original Classic.

The only New Classic Streaner is the NSS 333 which is a lot more expensive than the NSC 222, so probably not relevant.

The ND5XS 2 and NDX2 are the two obvious Original Classic streamers and both are available used on eBay et al.
