Where do you live? You shouldn’t need to send gear to the UK for servicing - use a non Naim service shop.
With this opinion you are quite an outsider these days - in the year of the nait 50 ![]()
I’m also back with Nac 82/HC/250 and right now the even better 82/SC/135 ![]()
The N50 is good but it is in the end just a small integrated.
You’re to much of a nostalgic romantic Igel! ![]()
The Nait 50 has achieved cult status here, never heard one myself but they often appear on the used market….
I couldn’t live without a remote but the 50 is a cool looking thing.
Use the digital volume in the streamer/dac on casual listening and set it to 100 for focused listening ![]()
Yes that is an option but either way I have no use for a small integrated amp, not even one as cool as the nait 50!
I have a room that a one box solution works just fine in (Atom HE / active speakers!)

Hi Mike - same country as you. I wouldn’t use a non Naim accredited service provider. Australia is probably the best bet.
Fair enough. The local Westan service agents do Naim servicing though and have access to the parts and service manuals from Naim, so it’s a local option if you want to avoid going overseas. I’m planning to use our local shop if needed, and they have repaired my Uniti Star.
If you have bought gear from Real Music you might be able to twist Chris Murphy’s arm to do something as well. He repaired my 552 that I had bought elsewhere.
I very much like NSS333 with 555PSDR on it. Highly recommended. I would find it hard to think that those that have liked NDS would think any different.
Still surprised there are not more powering 300 series gear from a 555psu.
Buy pre owned, plus the cables and must be cheaper than the 300 series psu and almost certainly better.
It may be my next upgrade, but probably more in 2 years now. But who knows what will cross my mind during that time.
Hi Jaybar, can you describe the impact in more detail? I’m contemplating adding a S/H 300 to my 333.
Thanks
Hi Claude - I’ve just added the NPX300 to the NSS333
Night and day for me - tighter and more bass, vocals clearer , instruments cleaner , soundstage wider - all as expected from a Naim PS
Some say minimal difference, for me a huge difference
Trust that helps - regards
Hi @Bevo That’s exactly what I was looking for, thank you.
Claude
Being a second hand 300 means it will hopefully be run in , so you should get a pretty good evaluation straight away . It does take a while to run in.
I’m sure @Jaybar can also add some further comments on what it brings to the party
Cheers
You naughty kiwi lad, you had said you were done….
It makes a much bigger difference on the 332 than the 333 in my experience.
Yep - after that one ha ![]()

Well it might but I wanted to get the 333 performance closer to my LP12 Klimax Radikal performance
Albeit different , it had certainly done that let me tell you
