I’ve en occasional oddity that has now happened three times today. The right channel on my NAC202 and NAP200 goes to a whisper, even when volume is completely down. Using the remote to alter the volume gives a click click click through the speakers as it is held to go up or down. The left channel is fine and goes up and down correctly. The only way to resolve is to turn off and on either the NAPSC or Hicap. I wonder if anyone else has come across this oddity? If not if it carries on, I think I’ll take the NAPSC out of the circuit for a week, then the same with the Hicap. Failing that I’ve a Naim XS I can substitute for the 202 or the 200.

Have you tried another cable, or insert it again ?

I had a similar issue just recently. It was the 8 year old XX2 LH channel failing. Not cheap, but the XX2a replacement is bang on!
That was my first thought (hope?). I spent some time performing hifi pilates and twisting at awkward angles to remove each DIN lead and replace. So far no reoccurrence! Great suggestion.

Yes, on the two I have.
I would first try powering everything down and re-making all the connections, paying particular attention to the SNAIC 5 between NAC202 and HICAP and SNAIC 4 between HICAP and NAP200

When the left channel on my new classic 200 system kept dropping out, I posted that a factory reset, via ‘Settings’ on the front panel of the 222, seemed to fix the problem. Unfortunately, it reappeared a few days later. NAIM support has suggested it is likely that one or more of the volume relays in the volume control assembly has stuck, so I will need to return it to them
