Just putting system back together after decorating the room.
I am getting too old for this ?!
NDX2 / XPS / 82 / Supercap / 2 x 13 5
The old problem :-
Use balance control – reversed – turn to left right goes off & vice ve rsa
Switch off right hand amp – correct speaker goes off
Tried swapping 135 XLRs around – no luck
I just cannot quite get my head round what is wrong?
Any help which stops me having to take it all apart most welcome !

Have you got the XLRs in the correct sockets on the 135s?
Left = power inlet side, right = fan side.
Regards
Neil.

Surely the right speaker should go off if you move the balance to the left. That is how balance controls work.

Thank you all for replies
Getting old + tired is a bad combination !?
My original listing was wrong
Turn balance control to left should increase volume on left channel
It increases volume on right channel & vice versa
Apologies for error, will have another go tomorrow
I’ve deleted my previous post as I’ve confused myself as I’ve used both stereo and mono (handed) XLRs in the past with different issues with my 135s. Neil’s post above will sort you out.

Good to hear it’s sorted Ian. You are far from being the first to do this, and undoubtedly you won’t be the last either…
