Here’s an outline about what this category is all about
I expect @TheKevster will be up for this…
A deluxe reissue of “Brotherhood” is scheduled for November. Not my cup of tea, but I imagine it will be to many people’s tastes

Saw that @BigAl - have pre-ordered, despite it being massively over-priced. I have the other three “Definitive” box sets and they are all excellent, and as Brotherhood is one of my favourites of theirs, I’m really looking forward to it.

It’s not cheap, is it Kev?
On “Factory” matters, I’ve been looking through my LPs. I bought Unknown Pleasures in 1980, with the picture inner (rounded corners),embossed sleeve, including the translucent red vinyl effect.
I know you are a Factory afficianado, so idly wondered if you had looked into the Joy Division release sequence/catalogue numbers/vinyl type around this time.
There seems to be a lot of inconclusive debate on Discogs. I was unaware of the vinyl translucence despite owning Unknown Pleasures for 44 years, but then don’t habitually hold my albums over a bright light source
My copy still has its’ shrink wrap with Virgin dated price sticker, so I can be pretty sure of my copy’s heritage.
Big New Order fan here, too, especially this era, and up to & including Republic.
This box is, as Kev says above, rather over-priced. The perks of helping my mate in his record shop might make it a bit more affordable but I’m trying to wean myself off these deluxe-play-once-slabs of artefact. (The Beatles are my only guaranteed purchase in this category).
Having said that, if a a customer orders it and I happen to see it awaiting collection in the shop*, I’ll most likely want one of my own to have and to hold. (But barely play, in all probability). Daft but true.
So, we will see.
I think it depends on the presentational quality level, to a degree.
I have contemplated buying the odd “special” - the Steve Hillage one from a few years ago, and the Al Stewart and Caravan sets. Trouble is, I don’t like either artist enough to drop that amount of money…
