I have a Mk3-2 Sovereign with the multi-layer platter that was introduced around 2018. I know I said I wasn’t going to upgrade it but here we go…
OL are offering the Sovereign Special Platter upgrade (it’s the one with what looks like a copper ‘cartwheel’ at the centre.) It’s not a trivial cost to do this plus I have to return my existing platter to reuse its spindle, so I’d be committed. No sale or return on this one.
My question is then, has anyone done this upgrade or heard the two platters demoed? Any opinions on this upgrade? Thanks.
